Cleaning for a Reason offers free home cleaning services to individuals and families impacted by any type of cancer. Patients are eligible if they are actively undergoing cancer treatment, recovering from a recent cancer-related surgery, or receiving hospice care.

This program is open to adults and children alike, ensuring that anyone facing the challenges of cancer can experience the comfort and relief that a professionally cleaned home can bring.

There is absolutely no cost to the patient approved for the program. Through our partnership with Cleaning for a Reason, Reno’s Biggest Little Cleaning Company proudly donates our time, supplies, and expertise to support local cancer patients in the Reno/Sparks area.

We believe in giving back to our community by offering professional cleaning at no charge to individuals & families battling cancer.

If you are undergoing cancer treatment and would like to receive free home cleaning services, applying is simple. Cleaning for a Reason accepts applications online. Please visit their website to learn more about the program and to complete your patient application.

You’ll need to provide basic information like your name, email address, and home address. Once approved, Reno’s Biggest Little Cleaning Company will be matched with you to schedule your free cleanings and help make life a little easier.

We want to serve as many patients as we can. The rules a pretty simple to nominate a cancer patient for free cleanings.

The person must live in Washoe County and be recovering from cancer surgery, in cancer treatment, or hospice care. The nominee must agree to have the house cleaned by Reno’s Biggest Little Cleaning Company and/or local volunteers.

Once your application is approved, you’ll be paired with a trusted local cleaning company in your area. Selected cancer patients receive 2 free home cleaning visits at their registered residence. Housekeeping services are typically scheduled once a month over the course of two months.

Our goal is to take one major worry off your plate, so you and your loved ones can focus on healing and spending quality time together. Please keep in mind that these services cover general house cleaning, but they do not include deep cleanings, spring cleanings, or specialized services.

The free cleaning you’ll receive through Reno’s Biggest Little Cleaning Company is our standard residential maintenance cleaning service. This includes detailed cleaning of your kitchen, dining room, living room, bedrooms, and bathrooms. We’ll dust and wipe down furniture, fixtures, and floors in every room, helping create a fresh, comfortable space for you to rest and recover.

The number of cleaners assigned and the time spent during each visit may vary depending on volunteer availability, scheduling opportunities, property size, and most importantly, your specific needs. We encourage you to communicate openly and honestly with our team of cleaning professionals. After all, the more we understand about your particular situation, the better we can customize the cleaning to support you during your cancer treatment.

Cleaning For a Reason has a high match success rate of 50%, which is well above the American Cancer Society’s benchmark standard of 30% for cancer charities. While they cannot guarantee a patient will be matched to a local cleaner, they do their best to find an available partner like Reno’s Biggest Little Cleaning Company in each patient’s respective area.

Cleaning for a Reason is always developing new partnerships and expanding into new territories in an effort to serve the greatest number of applicants possible. However, not everyone who applies is guaranteed approval. To provide the best and safest service for cancer patients, Cleaning for a Reason has strict requirements for all cleaning partners. Every partner, including Reno’s Biggest Little Cleaning Company, must be insured and conduct thorough background checks on their employees to ensure the safety and peace of mind of patients.

Additionally, cleaning partners are asked to support at least two separate patients to help maximize the impact of the program and reach as many people as possible. To clarify, each patient receives 2 free general house cleanings, typically one session per month for two months.
